The Winkleigh Society is "Working for Winkleigh" to:-

Promote high standards of planning and architecture

Stimulate public interest in the local landscape, history, architecture, traditions and culture in and around Winkleigh

Secure the preservation, protection development and improvement of features of historic or public interest such as the Winbeg project. A copy of the letter sent by the society to Torridge District Council objecting to the power station can be found on this link

Enable Winkleigh people and businesses to benefit from initiatives and activities that can enrich the lives of people in Winkleigh

The Winkleigh Society promotes a wide range of activities - such as Live Music, 'House Scouts', Distinctly Winkleigh quarterly magazine and a Information Directory for local information, services, clubs, organisations, businesses and farms.
